Day 1: Arrival & Nairobi City Tour.
- Arrival at Nairobi: You will arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be met by a tour guide and transferred to your accommodation.
- Giraffe Centre: Visit the Giraffe Centre, located in Lang’ata, Nairobi. This center is dedicated to conserving the endangered Rothschild giraffes. You will have the opportunity to feed and interact with these beautiful creatures while learning about their conservation efforts.
- Karen Blixen Museum: Explore the Karen Blixen Museum, formerly the home of Danish author Karen Blixen, famous for her book Out of Africa. This historical site offers a glimpse into colonial-era Kenya and Blixen’s life on the farm.
- Nairobi National Museum: End the day with a visit to the Nairobi National Museum, where you can learn about Kenya’s rich history, culture, and wildlife. The museum displays cultural artifacts, fossils, and a variety of exhibits related to the country’s biodiversity and heritage.
Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
- Maasai Mara: Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of Kenya’s premier wildlife destinations, famous for its high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. The Mara is particularly well-known for the annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of fresh grazing. The reserve also offers a unique opportunity to experience Maasai culture and explore local villages.
- Drive to Maasai Mara: After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours.
- Afternoon Game Drive: Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Safari & Cultural Visit.
- Morning Safari: Early morning game drive for optimal wildlife sightings.
- Cultural Visit to a Maasai Village: In the afternoon, visit a Maasai village and engage with the community. Learn about their customs, dances, rituals, and daily life.
Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha.
- Lake Naivasha: Lake Naivasha, located in the Great Rift Valley, is a freshwater lake famous for its birdlife and serene landscapes. Visitors can enjoy boat rides and explore nearby Crescent Island, a wildlife sanctuary with animals like giraffes and zebras.
- Lake Naivasha Boat Ride: Embark on a scenic boat ride on the lake to spot hippos and birds.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi.
- Kazuri Beads Factory Visit: Learn about the creation of handmade ceramic beads and pottery.
- Explore Nairobi Markets: Visit Nairobi’s vibrant markets and shops.
Day 6: Departure.
- Departure: Transfer to Nairobi International Airport for your flight back home.
