Our Story
Afro-Tropical Butterfly Safaris was founded with a clear purpose: to highlight Uganda’s natural heritage beyond traditional safari routes. Inspired by the country’s extraordinary butterfly diversity and rich birdlife, the company grew into a specialist operator offering nature-focused safaris across Uganda’s national parks.
Our journey began with guided forest walks and butterfly observation experiences, gradually expanding to include gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, birding safaris, and wildlife game experiences. This growth reflects our belief that all species from insects to great apes play a vital role in healthy ecosystems.
Today, Afro-Tropical Butterfly Safaris brings together passion, experience, and professional safari planning to deliver journeys that are educational, ethical, and deeply rewarding.
What We Do
Afro-Tropical Butterfly Safaris designs and operates safaris across Uganda’s most important conservation areas, including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Semuliki, Mabamba Wetland, and Budongo Forest.
